The Art School at Old Church was founded in 1974 when visionary artists transformed a neglected 19th-century church building into a community center for art and culture. Today, the art school and adjoining Mikhail Zakin Gallery serve over 5,000 participants annually. Visual arts and craft courses are designed to serve students of all ages. Exhibitions are always free and open to the public. "In Hand," a nationwide exhibit of contemporary ceramic cups will be on view throughout the month of January.
