For over 25 years, SMI has been a vital force in the NJ arts scene, and has grown from a small group to over 500 visual artists and art lovers from New Jersey and throughout the country. We have always sought to cultivate and promote a greater understanding of the important role the visual arts play in the life of the community. We offer a breadth of opportunities for visual artists to bring their work to the public through innovative, thought-provoking exhibitions and programming. We’re recognized as an exciting and professional venue for contemporary art, as well as a meeting and educational hub for artists and art lovers.

Our Mission - Studio Montclair is an inclusive, nationwide non-profit organization of exhibiting, professional and emerging artists and others interested in the visual arts.
