Garden State Art Weekend 2026: Call for Participants

For the third edition of Garden State Art Weekend (GSAW), April 17–19, 2026, we are excited to invite the following entities to participate:

• Art Galleries

• Art Museums

• Artist Studio Complexes (venues housing three or more artist studios in a public-facing space)

• Pop-ups featuring visual art (in libraries, malls, empty store fronts etc)

• Public Art Installations

Eligibility Notes

Ineligible Applications: Applications from individual artists, single-artist open studios, and private homes are not eligible for inclusion.

• Venues who do not showcase visual art are not eligible

• Note to Manufacturers Village Artists: Manufacturers Village Artists (MVA) is the GSAW headquarters. You do not need to register separately for Garden State Art Weekend​

 

Application & Participation

• There is a non-refundable $25 application fee (which covers maps, postage, and administrative costs).

• Participation itself is free.

• Participation Requirement: To be listed, venues must simply be open at a time of their choosing over the weekend.

• Special Events: While simply being open is sufficient, we highly encourage venues to plan special programming! Reach out with ideas on how to partner with us at gardenstateartweekend@gmail.com.

Next Steps

To participate in GSAW and be listed on the official map, venues (not individual artists) must fill out the application form by February 28th, 2026.

 

Once your venue is accepted, we will share media assets to help you promote your participation in GSAW. Our collective goal is to spread the word about this event through word-of-mouth and viral sharing on everyone's social channels.
