The Center for Contemporary Art - Judi Tavill. Tavill uses sculpture and drawing to create work that speaks to the complications of connection and entanglement.
Peters Valley School of Craft Our ceramics studio is hosting the Brick House Studio of Long Island for a Noborigama workshop. They will load the kiln and begin firing on Friday, April 25th finish firing on the evening of the 26th. Visitors are welcome to stop by and learn more about this historic practice.
FIRE LOVER
Two opportunnities to witness special kiln firings this weekend!
The wood-fired noborigama kiln at Peters Valley will be going full force with a crew stoking it to reach 2400 degrees.
Located in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, the ceramics depaertment and kiln are at 33 Kuhn Road Layton, NJ 07851.
Come by 10-4pm on Friday and Saturday.
Project Space in Hoboken will be raku firing on Sunday from 11-6. Stop by to see this dramatic firing technique that takes red hot works out of the kiln and places them in combustibles yielding surprising results.


NEED A HAPTIC FIX?
In Hand II at The Art School at Old Church has more than 70 cups on exhibit. The second juried cup show features everything from elegant tea bowls to whimsical goblets created by artists across Canada and the United States.
Mud Clay Studio has 3 locations where you can get your hands in clay and make a tile to add to a community clay wall.
